For me this summer was about growth in both my personal and career life. I recently accepted a new position at work creating a hectic and stressful summer. So I took it in stride and learned a lot about myself and my working definition of success along the way. Throughout the summer I took a photo a day and compiled those photos into a video.
I learned that growth happens when you take risks and remember to fail forward. I tried new things like running, Linux based computing, and coaching soccer. Sometimes failing at first, but always learning and bouncing back. Along the way I remembered it's important to "Sharpen the Saw" as Stephen R. Covey puts it (2004) and find a balance between work and relaxation. As you can see in the video not only did I grow, I sharpened that saw.
